JULY 2017- Thanks to all previous and now additional givers;
The water project has begun to flow!
During July Rev. Joshua Amaezechi traveled to Mbaitoli, Nigeria and began the process of making your generous "water" gifts into a reality. A very deep well was drilled next to the new LEMA Study Center. Water reservoir tanks holding 2000 gallons of clean drinking water were installed & plumbed, and a pump/generator was powered.
Piping was then installed through the wall providing four water spigots which are now available to LEMA students and the entire surrounding community. Together, the water we help to provide will continue to bear witness to Christ, as the only source of living water that gives eternal life!
Tile and plaster finish work are being done on the wall currently and photos & updates will be made as they are available...
We still need to raise additional funds to provide a "generating set" that will automatically supply power to the water pump at the same time with the rest of the Study Center.
NOVEMBER 2016- ...we hope to install a water supply system in the school so that students as well as rural people living in the nearby community can have clean water. Through these efforts, we pray that not only the student pastors will get the training they need, but also that the water we help provide will continue to bear witness to Christ, as the only source of living water that gives eternal life!
JULY 2016- This summer, LEMA is partnering with local businesses to raise $3000 needed to provide good drinking water for the students at the Computerized Study Center (CSC) in Mbaitoli, Nigeria. This Water Supply project will also provide clean water to the poor in the rural villages around the school who at this time travel distances to fetch water. What a blessing! OUR TABLE Restaurant in Otsego leads the trail of businesses participating in this campaign.
Thank you Pastor Jason Zimmer, the Consistory and members of the North Point Church of Plainwell, Michigan (www.livesmatter.net) for your generosity towards provision of water supply at the Mbaitoli Study Center, Nigeria.
Thank you OUR TABLE Restaurant in Otsego, Michigan for leading the trail of businesses who participate in this water project!
